Welcome message and Ethos
Welcome to Year 5! We are so excited to begin this Upper Key Stage 2 adventure with you. Our classroom is a fun and inspiring place to learn, explore, and grow together. This year, we will show courage as we try new challenges, demonstrate commitment as we work hard and never give up, and show compassion by looking after one another every day. We can't wait to see all the amazing things we will achieve —welcome to a fantastic year ahead!
The Weekly Routine
Here is our class timetable, though please remember that it may change from day to day.
PE Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Library / Book day change: Mondays
Homework Routine: Children will be given spellings to take home and tested the following Tuesday. Please encourage your child to learn them each week and fill in BOTH SIDES of their spelling sheet. Make sure their homework folders are returned on Mondays.
Essential Items to Bring: Water bottle, reading record, coat, spelling folder on a Monday.
