School Council
At Kirkstall Valley, our School Council is the beating heart of pupil voice. We believe that our children are the most important stakeholders in our community, and their opinions are vital in shaping the future of our school. Elected democratically by their peers at the start of each academic year, our councillors represent every year group from Year 1 to Year 6. They meet regularly to debate ideas, propose solutions to school-wide issues, and work directly with the Senior Leadership Team to bring about positive change. Through this process, our pupils do not just learn about democracy; they live it.
