We know that navigating the internet for safe, high-quality learning resources can be difficult. To help support your child’s learning at home, we have curated a list of trusted websites and apps.

All resources below are either free to use or provided via a school subscription.

 

🔢 Maths Fluency

 

Regular practice of number bonds and times tables makes a huge difference to confidence in lessons.

  • Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS)

    • Best for: Years 2–6.

    • Details: Use your school login to practice times tables speed and accuracy. The 'Garage' mode is best for setting a personalised level.

  • Numbots

    • Best for: EYFS & KS1.

    • Details: From the creators of TTRS, this supports understanding, recall and fluency in mental addition and subtraction. Use your school login.

  • Hit the Button (Topmarks)

    • Best for: All Years.

    • Details: An excellent free game for quick-fire number bonds, doubles, halves, and times tables. No login required.

  • White Rose 1-Minute Maths App

    • Best for: EYFS & KS1.

    • Details: A completely free app to build number confidence and subitising skills (recognising amounts without counting) in just one minute a day.

 

📚 Reading & Phonics

 

Reading with your child is the single most important thing you can do to help them learn.

  • Oxford Owl eBook Library

    • Best for: All Years (Levels correspond to our school reading bands).

    • Details: Create a free parent account to access a huge library of tablet-friendly eBooks, including Biff, Chip and Kipper stories.

  • Teach Your Monster to Read

    • Best for: EYFS & KS1.

    • Details: A deeply engaging phonics game. Note: The website version is free to use on a computer (the tablet app is paid).

  • BookTrust Bookfinder

    • Best for: Parents looking for recommendations.

    • Details: Not sure what to read next? Use this tool to find age-appropriate books based on what your child already enjoys.

 

🌍 The Wider Curriculum (Science, History, Geography)

 

  • BBC Bitesize Primary

    • Best for: All Years.

    • Details: The gold standard for UK curriculum revision. Includes videos, quizzes and clear explanations for every subject from Science to History.

  • Oak National Academy

    • Best for: Structured learning.

    • Details: Thousands of free video lessons and resources created by teachers, covering the entire curriculum.

  • National Geographic Kids

    • Best for: Nature and Geography lovers.

    • Details: Safe, stunning photography, quizzes and facts about the natural world.

  • Scratch

    • Best for: Coding (KS2).

    • Details: A free programming language where children can create their own interactive stories, games, and animations. This supports our Computing curriculum.

 

🏃 Wellbeing & Keeping Active

 

  • Cosmic Kids Yoga

    • Details: Yoga, mindfulness and relaxation designed specifically for kids. Great for a rainy day brain-break.

  • GoNoodle

    • Details: Free movement and mindfulness videos created by child development experts.
