The small school with a big heart.

16 Weeks

My parents have always been there to help me since I was born. They have stood by my side whenever something happened or I was badly hurt.

It all started 12 years ago when my parents welcomed their first baby, a boy called Rio. This wasn’t a happy occasion, in fact it was pretty petrifying for my parents. He was born 16 weeks early weighing only one pound (he could fit in my mum’s hand). Scared and shocked, my mum didn’t know if he would survive. When he was born doctors discovered he was deaf. Despite all the odds, Rio grew stronger every day. Rio is now 12 and going to secondary school and he is now ok. Nobody would have guessed he would have survived. Rio now is funny, confident and loveable.

Fast forward 2 years and I was born. I was also premature like Rio. I was born 8 weeks early and only 5 pounds. I was pretty massive after I was born. Now I am in year 6 and no one would have guessed I was born 8 weeks early. I was in hospital for 2 weeks and I like football, rugby and rounders.

My parents were born in York they lived there for a year or more . They moved from York to Leeds, I think to get a bigger house or a better job. My mum’s birthday is January the 4th. My mum also wanted to be with her family. My dad’s birthday is September the 8th and he still lives in York. My mum and dad love football, my mum’s favourite food is a kebab or a Sunday dinner. In the past few years my mum has had more children: Rowan, Riley and Rayan.
