SPORT RELIEF MILE EVENT – March 2018

On Friday March 23rd every child in the school ran a mile for Sport Relief. They all did amazingly well, showing great determination and stamina, and we are very proud of them. Thank you for raising so much money. The total to date is a massive £1884.21. Many thanks and well done!

We love Yoga in Class 1, it really helps us to focus and remain calm.

This term we have focused on the ‘tree’ pose and the ‘airplane’ pose . We have also practised taking big deep breaths.

If you would like to practise at home here are some good sites to use.

We use - https://www.gonoodle.com/

There are also good videos on this YouTube site - https://www.youtube.com/user/CosmicKidsYoga

We were very lucky to have a visit from the Leeds Rhinos Foundation team. They taught us to hold a rugby ball around its belly and we practiced scoring a try! We had lots of fun and played a spooky game called ‘Scary Scarecrow Tig’! Have a look at our scary faces!

RNLI Visit

The RNLI visited to teach us about the vital work they do and to make sure we all know how to stay safe when we're near any water. We learnt lots!

International Week - February 2018

Well done to all our International Week Homework Project winners.

All of the entries from all of the classes were outstanding and we are so proud of you.

In our eyes, you are all winners!

Take a look at our carnival dance!

 Work and Finance Day

For Work and Finance Day, children dressed up to show what they'd like to do when they're older. Some classes had visitors to talk about their jobs. We talked about our future aspirations and the skills needed to get there. We also looked at budgeting and learned how to use money within a budget to buy what was needed. We really enjoyed the day!

Going Bright for Children in Need

The Children raised £181.41 for Children in Need by dressing up in bright clothes.
